Not sure, but my ex was allergic to loads of stuff and had to use non-bio. I also think it is less abrasive and probably less powerful but not as good at cleaning. Best ask someone who has kids who get all sorts onto their clothes that really test washing powders.

Not sure but I have to use Non Bio cos I am allergic to all Biological powders, and in particular Persil - bring sme out in a funny red rash
It is something to do with enzymes/chemicals/organisms etc, and does in the end mean your clothes aren't as clean.

Bio powders have enzymes and bleach. the enzymes work at low temperatures - the bleach works at higher temps
Non-bio's just have the bleach - tend to not wash as well as the bio's, but dont make you itch
