Default Plebgate - great stuff!

LOL at the re-emergence of 'Plebgate' in the news.

Politicians versus police with the media up in arms about being lied to

The hypocrisy of all three 'sides' is laughable quite frankly!

Politicians seemingly can't help but lie about anything and everything, senior police seem to be not far behind in many cases and the word press should be found next to the word liar in the dictionary (along with scum and pondlife)!

Therefore it's unlikely we will ever get to the real truth behind this one

Well it would seem that everything Andrew Mitchell said, which he then admitted & apologised for, was actually correct!! - it was just that the police officers and then *very* senior police officers went off on a ranting **** flinging crusade against a prominent Tory minister due to police cuts and completely embroidered the story to meet their own agenda....

It's certainly not shining well on the police at the moment...

Having seen the video clips where senior police officers demanded Mitchell's resignation before any real proof of guilt emerged show that either highly incopentant fools (in which they should resign) or had ulterior motives (in which they should be dismissed).

Either way...squeeky bum time for a few in the Met.

But yes, press, politicians and police aren't exactly shining example of upstanding and truthful organisations.

Only if you believe his side of the story, bolstered by an inept media and a biased Parliament...

Having read the transcript of Mitchell's meeting with the Police Federation and their comments afterwards, I find nothing that calls into question their "honesty and integrity", as claimed by Deborah Glass of the IPCC.

Theresa May said the IPCC's report "made troubling reading". I had trouble making sense of the IPCC's comments and suspect they have been made as a result of political pressure.

I'm no particular fan of the police, but I trust this Government even less!
