Scoobynet crash problem with ipad
Are any iPad users having the same problem? Basically whenever a thread contains an embedded YouTube video and the post is scrolled into view, the iPad crashes and I have to relaunch Scoobynet.

Every time for me.
My fault for buying crap Apple products I guess.
I find if you scroll quickly past the YT link, it doesn't crash.

I have that. I have that with my iPhone5 and with my iPad. They don't exactly crash/go off, but they send me back to the iPhone/iPad desktop, basically. Very inconvenient, I admit. How I trouble-shoot is that I wait for that circular, flower-like sign (downloading indicator on top) to complete its circling business whilst the page is maturing. Once it has calmed down, I can read the page, and see the youtube vids, even.

I find ios7 worse with regards to this. You have to really flick past a link and if it so much as sees a portion of the YouTube screen appear it crashes.
Why isn't the Scoobynet App a real App? All it does is load via Safari and saves typing the web address..

I didn't follow the Apple sheep and have an Android Tablet ..... no bother at all ...... maybe Scoobynet are not supporting the old obsolete formats, like iOS?

Definitely. It was better prior to ios7. This ios7 makes our gadgets highly sensitive, unpredictable and awkward like some Cancerian birth signer, I admit.

I started a thread about this in the computer section a while ago, tried most of the suggestions to fix it, well the ones I could understand but it's still a pita.

yes mine too but only since IOS7 - in fact I would say that Safari is teetering on the edge of crashing at all times since IOS7.... its much slower too... god knows what they've done to it...
Wish I hadn't updated to IOS7 now....

This is becuase IOS no longer supports H264 video protocol that Youtube is now rendered in. Apple have switched to Flash video support and YouTube are busy converting all their videos back to Flash! It will be fixed in a few months when Youtube get their head out of their ****!

Point 1, if I go to a website that has content my browser or media-player don't recognize, I don't generally expect the publisher of that site to re-encode that content just to suit me, and point 2, I certainly wouldn't expect my entire flippin' browser to crash just because there's content on that site it doesn't recognize.
So whose fault is this exactly?
