I've just sold a bike item to an SN member; I won't name the person unless he okays it but what a decent, trustworthy chap he was.

Nice to have some positive, real life experience from here; adds a little more than just ranting about immigrants ;-)

Not everyone is out to rip people off, I have had a good few dealings with people over the years with no real problems to speak of....and one of them was sending a set of wheels prior to being paid for

There are still some good guys/gals out there

I had to pay i couldnt stand you starting a crying thread gaz....
Ty let me have an interior and pay later too.
Luckily the scammers are quite rare.
Also last week m444gy ordered a set of wheels for me and let me pay today as they were the only set in stock.
So +1 for scoobynet for me.

A darn site more pleasant than handing over 10+% to Ebay/Paypal having already paid £5++ for an ad!

Likewise for me.
I recently sold some items to two different lads on here and it was completely hassle free.
I gave them my mobile number, they transferred the funds and both were happy with the products they received.
If either of them are reading this, then guys, it was a pleasure dealing with you both.

Had many a smooth transaction on here over the years. Usually the sound folk are the ones who you meet face to face. The tossers are the ones who hide behind the keyboards never meeting in person

I've driven all round the country to collect bits and posted stuff for others as far a field as Denmark (exhaust), Germany (Commission art work) etc.

Even bought my insurers dad's old car off him

Had quite a few dealings on here with some great people, Swati being one of them. Never had any problems at all as I think generally, people are honest and trustworthy contrary to what we are led to believe sometimes.

Good man, I'll pop the beer in the fridge then. No promises it'll still be there when you get here though.

As above you can usually gauge the good guys based on the posts. Met quite a few off here, all of whom were decent and a pleasure to meet. That said Isaac was the most welcome visitor. His mum and dad weren't too bad either. :-D

That will be me then . Thanks for the glowing review Matt.
I have to say it was an excellent experience from this end at this end too

The only thing was, the fork arrived on the day before I came on holiday, so it's going to be another five days until I can really use it in anger

On a side note; I have done business with several SNers over the years, both buying and selling, and not once have I been even close to disappointed

A stark contrast with some of my eBay experiences

Yes indeed CrisP - just didn't want to name you unless it was okay!

Glad all is well your end. I finally got my Fox fitted after a rather enormous faff (turns out the bottom Hope cup was wrong for a tapered fork- took ages to realise this!) which also coincided with a nasty calf injury. DOH!
