Anyone driving through the M42 roadworks between J7 (M6) and J9 (The Belfry) should take care. After several months of no obvious checking (thus most drivers exceed the 50mph limit by a substantial margin), there are now two LIVE Gatsos, plus new "ruler" markings for possibly several more

Also, this morning on one of the overbridges (above the Northbound carriageway) was a large white van with bright side doors, one of which was open to reveal something sinister on a tripod!! I actually drove back to this bridge to have a closer look, but sadly the van had gone. However, to my amazement (and dismay) there was a yellow line painted on the side of the road on the bridge itself.
