I guess he could have gone to a fancy restaurant instead and spent £50+.

This is not news.

Have people in Britain really got nothing better to complain about than the price a millionaire pays for a burger?

If he can afford a 10 quid burger why should he settle for the mass produced **** from McDonalds.

Why the **** are we questioning this man's diet?

Are we going to come down like a tonne of bricks on him if he orders a Large Americano instead of a regular?!

Having had a McDonalds and a Byron before, it is reassuring to know he eats Byron.

Could you find me the link to the story where he preaches that we must not eat a meal more than £6 from time to time?

lol, i think your missing the point.

polititions should be setting an example in line with what they say, not saying one thing and doing something else.

Really, if this is what politics has become - analysing and critiquing the take-away dining choices of our elected - then I feel the need to cry.

Given that sales of quality burgers made from proper meat are rapidly on the rise, and processed cardboard McDs rubbish sales are falling, I would say Osborne is more in touch with public opinion than you, to be honest

You are equating first-class travel worth many thousands, to a high-street burger. I would hope most rational people see the difference. In no way is it an extravagence. If it was a pizza from dominos, (worth > £10) would anyone be batting an eyelid!?

I reckon he was celebrating being back at No.1 after 43 years with the group's new album. Sharon probably went and bought it for him while he worked on his memoirs.

So we should all spend less money in shops and restaurants to help boost the economy? Sorry I don't see what the problem is here. Or should he stick to bread and water. I'm not a fan of the man but this is pathetic.

He is, have you not noticed the burger is not his usual hand formed Japanese Wagyu Beef patty infused with 15 herb white truffle butter and vintage chedder, topped with fried Quails egg and shaved black truffles served in a white truffle buttered Campagna roll with Paramount Caviar Kaluga caviar? No? It's just a plain old burger and chips for f*cks sake!!

The burger was £6, fries and drinks extra.

I thought those type of prices were standard in London?

Fish and Chips at The Emirates Stadium are £13.20

This is not news

Burger at the Sea Work Boat show is £8.00 ffs.
Seriously Tidgy, you have fallen hook line and sinker one this, just what they want.

Another way to look at it is that he is working late and decided to grab a take away. Is the government paying for the burger, or is it coming out of his pocket? It doesn't say does it.
Just more ****e spouted by our spinelsss, cancer ridden growth or what some like to call 'The Media'.

Exactly, wasn't that long ago that they showed us all they were obviously 'like' us as they tickled their delicate palate with a Cornish pasty.

If they have to show us that they understand, then they clearly don't.
