Tories - Tossers .....
I see that, with all their attacks on the people of this country, they STILL haven't got anywhere nearer balancing the books ............ what a bunch of jokers!!

They spend their time demonising one part of society after another, in order to partly blame them, so as to rip them off.
No blame has, as yet, been put at the door of the bankers.
So far, it's been the fault of the public sector, the unemployed and now pensioners.
If they want to call a pension a benefit, they want to stop the **** taxing it.

I have seen the drip, drip, drip, drip feed to demonize the Pensioners ..... to soften the country up when they hit us old folk!!
I need the winter fuel allowance to heat my swimming pool through the colder months and I have paid tax all my life, from the age of 15, I should be tax free in my twilight years!

The Tories are spending more money than Labour ever did!!!
And, who is benefiting?
The rich - the big companies - the Tories 'mates'
2015 and getting them thrown out cannot come fast enough!!

Us pensioners need to be treated very well ..... we guided the country through the best years the UK has ever seen.
Yes, the youngsters have messed it up .... but that's no reason to tax us now!

Pete, I thought you would be glad they a taking a bit of money of people like teachers, in the form of limiting pay rises to 1% and trying to end progression pay?

Teachers are getting away with it once more ..... as from 2014 it is up to the Governors how much Teachers get paid - and you can hoodwink your average Governor! I can see them running riot with the school budgets!

The problem is, these days, that EVERY politician puts lining his own pocket first.
Then comes lining those of his party.
then comes lining those of his supporters, and party supporters.
Then comes lining those of his mates.
Then comes lining those who could do him a favour once he's out of power, (see first point...)
Somewhere down the list is doing the job he is paid (well) for.....

Having seen Pete's posts for ten years now he's about my age plus a couple of years...55 ish so he's no pensioner............believe me.
However, if he started out 2 years ahead of me he might be on the 30 years and retired at 2/3rd salary jobby.
The interesting thing is the "no automatic pay progression" in the public sector....god knows how he's going to sell that to the NHS.

Atomise everyone presumably. Pay deals no longer negotiated nationally. It's the purpose of academies in education. Of course if you are strong enough like the BMA it will get a pass for its members.

Socialism created the systems that have burdened us as a country.
Set the retirement age at 70, in days when the average working person's life expectancy was 55/60, so to get to 70 you deserved it. Then there was welfare, don't have job, don't worry you can have a house, and money which will give you more than someone employed.
Then a National Health Service, with no charges. So free boob jobs if you are depressed about being flat chested, and free for holiday makers, non nationals.
Lets not forget there are more people in retirement, than under 18, and its getting worse. So less and less people paying for more taking, more needing health care, more needing to take money from the system.
Now I would go a LOT further, retirement age 80, amongst others.
What would you do then Pete, and how would you balance the books??
Bear in mind you cannot spend any more than they are now +/- the unemployed benefits.
Bankers may have messed up the system, but our system has been broken and heading for collapse since the 1950's, or earlier if you want to add the retirement age not having risen since the 1920's.

The schools will all be academies soon run by hard nosed venture capitalist types lol. The days of the Governers are closing fast I reckon?

I think they view it as building future markets. Give them aid so they can get out of their muds huts and drive cars, use our banking ect ect in the future.

The principles of governance are the same in academies as in maintained schools, but the governing body has greater autonomy. Academies are required to have at least two parent governors.
(ripped via a quick search, but I did wonder myself)
Don't know how much clout they have though?

It seems to me that Millipede and Bollocks just object to everything but in the next breath say they'd carry on doing the same should this country be stupid enough to elect them in 2015.
I don’t have a particular fondness for Dave and George either, but I’d rather they were holding the purse strings than a reinvented trade unionist.

Brown broke all previous records for borrowing and then just effectively pissed it all against the wall! It made the economy look artificially good while we were living on borrowed cash.
By the time that they lost the election they had ruined this country and the present bunch took over a monstrous deficit. Can't turn something like that around in a flash Pete!
Before you start criticising the present government Pete, why don't you explain the actions of the "prongs" that you support!
As usual we can't expect any kind of comment from you I imagine since there is nothing that you can say that means anything anyway!
