Question Account for International shipping

Does anyone have an account to give you good rates on shipping Internationally?

I've been stung a bit shipping to the Netherlands and that wasn't even a high value item, so i need to consider my options!

Cheers guys.

Harry, you mean you can get discounted rates? I'm setting up a business, so I really need to get my own account?

I think alot of this stuff depends on size/weight, etc. Smaller stuff is pretty cheap with Royal Mail but if you start getting bigger and heavier parcels then a specialist courier is the way to go.

Also depends on which part of the world. Some are better for Europe, EU, USA, etc.

You might need to have a couple of accounts with different couriers to get the best deal for a specific parcel.

Yer, that's a fair point fella.

Half my stuff with be around 1kgs, but 90-100cm long. Not wide(golf putters), but the insurance can be quite high.

The rates with companies like TNT, FedEx, DHL etc... are volume related. The more you send, the rates come down. If you can afford the time get a salesman from each company round to see what they can do for you, do it as the rate they can put you on will be lower than the rate you get from just phoning and asking for a one-off quote.
