Looks quite scary in places! Isn't there a danger of some of it starting to collapse back on to the road as it melts?

I would think so, but at this point it was still very cold showing little signs of thawing. At least when it does thaw the kids will still be off school so no danger of that run for two weeks!

But on another good note, I got really good snaps of malahm Cove, right through the Pennines to the back of me. I'm hoping yo be able piece it together with some software for a panoramic view

Yes, if you the beginning of the clip, that's the village where the school is, I'm on my way home, so it fairly clear in the village so the local had no issues. Teachers might have done though, but they do try hard in all at this school hence why I travel.

Lucky that there was so little opposing traffic. Its quite a long drive too.

no snow left down in essex last melted away friday i cant believe you have so much snow left
