Sat. Navs world maps....
My garmin fell off the screen hit the gear stick and smashed the screen.
I'm now on the hunt for a new one but everyone I find only have western Europe maps and I need world maps for when driving in America.
Help!
I'd rather have a garmin but happy to consider tomtom or nav man. I have a budget of £200.

Take it to oneof them there genious bars, lol.. supposedly the'll suck in there teeth and then pull one out from under counter, (it just works)
Oh you did what proper people did and used a proper GPS unit... hmm thats not good.... You could always try your local halford's and see if there having a display clearance, you can often get some good reductions that way.
What i could offer is some advice on better mounting soloutions
Try Brodit, they do tailor made stuff for fitting just about anything to cars

Just checked and they cover Garmin
That way nothing goes on the screen , so less chance of falling that far

Riiidaa yeah I did notice that option but like my last garmin £190 all maps.
I do have one of those rubber matt things that a satnav sits on the dash in but hadn't used it since taking it out of the other car. - few years back mot man said soon EU won't allow anything to be stuck on the screen. -still waiting.
Thanks for the link DKY. I've seen that one and although it's just over it is over my budget...
May have to settle for a ****ty euro maps then then be ripped off buying world maps.

I bought myself a Ulysse sim and got unlimited internet with it so it enabled me to use google maps to go every where, far cheaper than buying a satnav and you have unlimited calls and txts as well
Google maps worked perfect when I was in Florida and come in handy that many times.
