Does bacon...

It will, if you leave your bacon under the grill and go for a quick *** or a quick dump, which may take a minute or two.
You have to stay with your bacon, flip it to grill both sides in a matter of seconds, and then it should taste like properly grilled bacon. Not the bacon that has white fat running on that ungrilled side, yuk!
On a serious note, it doesn't have to be grilled both sides, ok? Eat the way you like it. If it's not grilled on one side, you will live on if you eat it. Ok?

How much is that black farmer bacon, then? I get 2 packs of 16 rashers for a fiver. Is my bacon bogstandard? How much should I pay, then? I mean, minimum?

I've just checked Black Farmer's shop on line. It's not that bleddy expensive, and they sell it in Tesco, Asda, Spar etc. as well.
Don't be such a tight-@rse, and eat as much bacon as you like. Just don't over-do it. Too much bacon is not good for you, even with less or no fat; whether it's black farmer's or white farmer's- makes no difference.

never seen a black farmer before...
It would depend on what cooking method you are using if you grill it on a rack then I would prefer it turned but if you use a tray then it would cook a little on the other side from the heat in the tray.

This is Black Farmer bacon:
Dunx, you can buy yourself a George Foreman lean and mean grill machine. This will prevent you from under or over-cooking any meat; may it be bacon, sausage or a steak. This will cook any meat well both sides without turning it into cardboard/MDF etc.

But that's not what you quoted as your reason for eating only one slice (probably only every Saturday morning). You said you didn't want to go bankrupt. However, if you want to use "Too much bacon can kill you" excuse to cover it, and thus kill two birds with one stone, that's fine.
You should be able to safely digest two rashes of bacon with one egg, one slice of toast, some mushrooms and one sausage for your weekend breakfast. You don't have to live on one slice of bacon, and then wait for next Saturday to have another one. Extra slice is not going to kill you. But.......... if you are unhealthy already, then I take no responsibility if it does.

I do use George Foreman grill quite a bit. What I mean is, if I use it 3 times a month to do random bacon, chicken or salmon, I have had my money back. Each time you wanna grill something, just stick it in there. Dead easy to clean as well, and runs for years. I think I've had mine for 5 years now.

There is no rind, let alone any hairs, and it looks like it has been sliced as thin as parma ham
