Housing payment paid direct - rent arrears rise?

Housing welfare payment paid direct leads to a huge rent arrears rise? I could have predicted that one.

I wonder what they spend the money on? Tax payers money down the drain. It's intended to be spent on rent but where is it going?

Totally agree, what an absolutely idiotic idea by the bureaucrats.

I myself have been stung by this scheme as I have a few rented properties & also another mate of mine was owed over £2,000! Not sure if he has resolved this yet

I have one rented property and it will not be rented out under this scheme. MANY others will do the same. End result - fewer properties and more problems.
