Default sand hooks a hoax, eh?

Or suposedly thats what the conspiracy theorists are saying.

got sent a spam message, normaly just hit delete but actualy read the first line and got reading it.

first paragraph,

'Overwhelming evidence has surfaced to prove that Sandy Hooks is a hoax. For example, the recently released CNN helicopter footage that is supposed to show children escaping from the school is obviously set somewhere else. The "grieving" parents are surprisingly joyful during their interviews. The footage from the early hours of the incident shows a traffic pattern that makes it impossible for emergency vehicles to operate. There are many other points with various degrees of credibility, but anyone doing serious research should find plenty to disprove the "official" story. In spite of this, many people still manage to believe the TV version of the Sandy Hoax drama.'

suprise surprise its obviously from the gun lobby in the US, but why do some people actualy buy this conspiracy crap?

That's pretty low, even for a pro-gun lobby. If anything it makes one distrust the pro-gun movement even more.

yep, this is the subtext of all these conspiracy theories

A lot of Americans have a deep distrust of the Government

partly historical of course -- but also I think a deep deep feeling that in the past 30 odd years they have been utterly let down by the government

Specifically the pro-gun lot, that's the whole reason guns are legal, fear of government.

The idiot(s) involved in this conspiracy claim should have their gun keeping rights revoked. Obviously they are not in a fit state of mind to keep one.

you don't have bears and wolves

and Vast tracks of Scotland equate to medium sized garden in Texas

Look, I am as anti gun as you can get -- but you have to at least attempt to see these things through the eyes of americans

they do go "huntun anda fishun" -- it is in the DNA to the vast majority of Americans who do not cling to either the East or West coast

a simple ban is never going to happen

Not quite sure why you need a semi-automatic rifle for hunting bears and wolves. Or hand-gun for that matter.

Fact is that gun ownership in the US has nothing to do with hunting, it's just because they have a god-given right to own one, and is a symbol of self-determination. I think this latter point is why some Americans value their guns over their own children.
