Couriers question (Long shot, but hey...)
Our company may need to arrange a really hasty shipment for Saturday collection.
I don't suppose any of you good folk on here know of a courier that will COLLECT on a SATURDAY... and DELIVER, 2 days later, on the MONDAY?!?!
...The kicker being, though, that it is going to the USA (Lancaster, PA)!
I've been trying for ages (most of today and yesterday) online/phonecalls/emails.... And no success as of yet.

FedEx but you be looking at a fortune if its a big item, when I was working out of the Cardiff depo we use to have a Saturday morning delivery and collection service until 1pm, don't know if its still an option but would imagine it to be anything going abroad will be handled by one of the major courier / freight companies, smaller companies will often offer the service but it will get shipped via FedEx, ups, etc regardless, just remember to complete the paperwork correctly

Thanks for all your replies...
Tried all the options mentioned - a no go, I'm afraid.
Plus tried ParcelHero - can do Sat collection... But only Tues>on delivery.
myHerpes do Sat collections/depot drop-offs and Monday delivery.... But only in the UK. Sigh.
Indeed, I just asked our FedEx driver the same question, and he said he wasn't aware of any that could do it.

Yeah, it's our company/agent/customer that's being a bunch of *****.
It's unrealistic and unreasonable.
Well, I tell you one thing; muggins 'ere WILL NOT be taking it. I don't do plane flights. (Quite apart from ****ing my weekend up).

I can speak with authority here. Done it for twenty years
Finest problem is your east coast weather, lots of airports cancelling flights
In my opinion you need a friendly freight agent to collect sat am run it up to man or Lhr and try and get it on a flight to phl. Or Boston, bizarrely via Amsterdam may be quicker than trucking internally in the USA. I'd go for the man-pho us air flight if I were you.
In America you need power of attorney to clear someone's goods. You might be lucky but my money is on it being delivered weds.
Or maybe if you use FedEx. Tell them you can deliver it yourself to the FedEx or ups hub at East Midlands airport on Saturday morning see if they will process it there and put on flight
