They used a modified Impreza for a camera car.
Painted black with camera scaffolding all over and boot cut off !

Some cool cars in the trailer. IMO you can tell its got UK influences on car purchases - Interceptor and a MK1 Escort.

That frame car I thought would have some CGI stuff plonked on the top when I saw the pics of it on Glasgow.

It looks amazing, there's an STi in there too! I sent the link to my 20 year old son who then gave me a lecture about it not being true to previous F&F films because of the guns This is someone who plays COD for hours

I can't wait, give me Vin Diesel and some fast cars and I'll be happy

Also filmed the plane scene with the cars chasing at an ex military base Bentwaters, Woodbride, suffolk. Filmed there for about 3 weeks, all night filming after 11pm. As work on the base could see some of the cars
chasing :

He's right though, the first/second were about the best, now its just gone away from what it was about, too stupid gun scenes and taking on big mafia bosses...

Trailer looks gash IMO. Wasn't about the cars, just had a few nice cars in it.

Personally, I still get a bit of a buzz / good memories of being a teen whenever I watch the 1st (only decent) fast and furious. Where it was all about the cars, modifying and the modified scene (at the time).

If you were a teen when the first f&f came out, no doubt watching it will bring it all back. It does for me. I remember sitting in the cinema and watching this.....

Yes, it's dated, but who cares. This was at a time when the whole scene was REALLY kicking off and this film bought in a whole load of trends (almost all of them highly questionable / laughable nowadays lol). Under car neons, NOS, Lexus lights, playstations built in etc. I never get bored of watching this film, must have seen it 20 times, still love it!

It's genuinely where it all began for me! I can blame Paul walker for my auto-obsession!!

P.s notice how the speedo goes from 120mph - 140mph in about a 3rd of a second and the fake rear discs lol!!
