No because that would be unfair as it is only a small minority of this peace loving religion that are causing mischief. This has to be the worlds largest small minority

I wish we could nuke our politicians. ALL of them, local government included.

Unless he's hinting towards a anarchistic society

I bloody well hope he isn't.

if i was the army chiefs i would privatise all the ceremonial rubbish like trooping the colour it contributes nothing to our defence but costs a fortune.

let mayor of London pay for some unemployed actors to do it

What's in it for the government? There must be something to spend yet more cash when we have none.

The actors would demand the minimum hourly rate for pay, which is much more pro rata than the average Army wage. There accommodation needs paying, their transport costs, uniforms, feeding, all the rehearsals and practice will add to the costs.

These are already covered by the military purse.

Trooping of the Colour and all the other PME's draw big bucks from tourists and is part of our Britishness of which we should be proud.

Perhaps we could replace all the soldiers who carry out public duty parades with the unemployed and allow soldiers to do warfighting?

I have a better idea, let the unemployed, criminals and spongers do the warfighting and let the soldiers do the public duties and ceremonial stuff that attracts the tourists

Whether we should take part in military manouevres in Mali or not, if the Islamists took control of that country it would mean very big trouble in the future.
