Bike hire scheme... in Liverpool
This should be a laugh, a bike hire scheme in Liverpool where, and I quote
The Liverpool City Cycle Hire Scheme will see 1,000 bikes available for hire with 60 stations across the city where they can be returned.
I wonder how successful it will be with your average scouser and whether they want to reduce the number of journeys made by car, promote sustainable transport, and reduce congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.?!

The city council hopes the scheme will be up and running this summer.
Thought they were encouraging cycling
Does the scheme work in London? Everytime I've been there I've seen people using them. Is Liverpool as pedestrian orientated as London, or have the same chaotic traffic?

I bought a mountain bike off them on ebay for £600, the bike came with a full till receipt from the store so you wouldn't question it, the reason for sale appeared genuine as well.
The bike turned out to be a Cycle to work scheme bike which you cannot sell until the bike has been paid off in full, they got the bike in November and sold it to me in December, when i went to the store to get a slight issue fixed under warranty the details on their computer were totally different to the address where i picked it up from, his reasons for sale turned out to be a load of **** and bull as well.
Whenever their is a potential money making scheme you'll get a scouser not far behind.
I would say there is a statistically higher rate of bombing in N. Ireland than say Dorset. I would also say there is a higher rate of theft/burglary/fraud in Liverpool than Dorset. So that is why these stereotypes exist. Because they are handy shortcuts for a known problem. Get over it. Scousers nick stuff at a higher rate than average
Do you really believe everything is bad about Liverpool?

Mate, I lived there for 3 years during which time I got mugged twice, once at knifepoint, a bike stolen, my girlfriend sexually assaulted, my mate got burgled nine times, my neighbours burnt down their house because they had an argument with the landlord, and almost burnt down ours, another mate got burgled by his own neighbours who were seen taking his TV into their house and a thousand other stories of aggressive, scum behaviour. God knows about all the stuff I didn't see, but trying to tell me in a PC way that I'm painting a false picture is total rubbish.
As for your link, as has been said it only covers the top 20 hotspots, I said "higher rate than average". Reading those stats probably the top 50 are above the national average, although it doesnt actually say. As for real stats read this http://www.ukcrimestats.com/Neighbourhoods/, and look who's at No.2...

Either that or you're so annoying people feel the need to mug you and give your missus a slap
I am sorry that you had bad experiences in Liverpool, but it's still not the activity of your average scouser, which is what I was saying in my early post.
That report is a very localised neighbourhood report which highlights 3 hotspots for Liverpool.
This report is by Police Force which must give a more balanced report.

Very studenty areas where we get to mix with the "real" locals!
