Red face

A particular company I had a large number of things insured with seem to have developed this new policy this year.

There website has "Get a Quote" and "Renew your existing policy"
if I get a quote through both routes the renewal policy is 40% higher than the other!!!!!

It is terrible! surely a regular customer that renews each year and hasn't claimed off them is better than a new one?
I understand they need to attract new customers but this is discrimination.....
I could not renew and then ring up the day it runs out and take out a policy as a new customer.. but I don't want to give them my money anymore if they are going to work like this!

Arrrgggghhhhhh!

Right feeling much better after getting that off my chest!

Welcome to the wonderful world.

Amazon did the same, dunno if they still do.

My insurance for the first year of scoob ownership was 650 quid. Renewal came, and they wanted 1203. Hill House Hammond, underwritten by Axa.

Phoning axa direct got me a renewal quote of 750 quid.

Good to see that HHH wanted their two pounds of flesh from me

The old Midland bank were doing this with mortgages at one point. I rang my local manager and complained, in a constructive not abusive manner, and low and behold they changed my rate...

I think it's a matter of pointing out that everyone does introductory offers.. so you could well be moving to take advantage of anothers if they won't give you theirs... If that makes sense?
