Bloody eBay sellers
I'm a bit pissed as I ordered some faded jeans off eBay from a seller in West Yorkshire (I know, I know) on Friday.
They're like a stonewash colour with dark blue around the stitching and pockets on the fronts like cargo pants (not cuffed or those ridiculous carrot top ones - loose straight leg fitment).
3 designs to pick from, dark, light as I wanted or a middle shade. Sent email to confirm which I wanted ready to use Buy It Now. Correct waist/leg length so nothing to get wrong, right?
Came today and they have sent some god awful navy blue jean in like a shiny nylon material with YELLOW stitching and patches of yellow material for detail They're bloody horrendous! Right waist and leg but they resemble something a plastic gangsta would wear half way down his ****!
So had a quick look through feedback (again) and notice a lot of recent (i.e. last few days) negative feedback. Wrong jeans, poor communication once orders are placed etc. So I've sent a polite but firm message requesting a refund/exchange for the correct ones.
I don't want to open a dispute on PayPal but will if required. I've got screenshot proof of the exact jean I ordered and all payment details etc.
Got a feeling this may drag out but I was hoping to wear my new classy attire for DJ'ing Friday. Bollocks

Primark is my usual destination in fairness. But they didn't have anything like what I wanted this time.
These are the ones I ordered.

I did. Note where I said they have received a lot of negative feedback over the last few days. I bought the jeans a few days ago.

That's why I buy jeans from cataloges etc as its free returns etc no messing about going to town etc and buy multiple sizes and makes and return what I don't want, I know it's more expensive but it's convenient for me without wasting my day shopping.
I would never buy clothes off eBay. Doh!

Thing is Corky I had a really good look around online, even at silly priced designer jeans around £50+
I'd got a couple of pairs previously off eBay with no issue (private sellers, not businesses) and these guys looked ok. I didn't wanna worry about the whole W. Yorks. reputation and their feedback looks good (until you look recently).
I've messaged them saying I'd still like the original ones but won't wait forever for a response. Say tomorrow night or Friday morning before I dispute it with PayPal as they were quickish to answer my original query prior to purchasing.

Bit of an update. Although only Thursday when they messaged me, the correct jeans turned up earlier today. Quite impressed with that and they are indeed the right size and style too. But they never sent a return address or pre paid packet to return the other ones. I've messaged them but so far no response.
What do I do now with the others?

I was thinking of taking them to a charity shop, but the kind of person who would wear them probably wouldn't peruse those kind of establishments
Oooooh a sweeping generalisation
Also thinking what if they email me in two weeks or so asking wtf are their pants!

Send them an email requesting a prepaid return envelope. State that you will hold them for two weeks before disposing of them unless you hear otherwise. Then, if no contact do as you wish with them.

I can assure you the ones I received afterwards look far better than the horrible dark ones. They are a darker finish than in the picture too and look like denim, not shiny gangsta material worn by gangs in Landan.

I've bought clothes from Ebay in past and they've come out to be made of tats. That is why I'm in favour of shops/stores where you can see with your nakkid eyes before you buy things. Internet is nowhere as realistic as 3-dimensional reality that you could see with your bare eyes, lets face it. Therefore, I hardly buy anything on line. In fact, I did 0 shopping on line for this Christmas. I bought everything in person. Best way for me.
