Modern pop music, female artistes....
Is ANYONE else but me sick and tired of listening to some little biatch with the voice of a 12 year old, and the enunciation of a southern *****, being double, triple, quadruple tracked to a beat in order to give her some sort of a voice? Complete with fully electronic backing track played, it would seem, on a Rolf Harris stylophone. Jeeeeesus!
Note to so-called pop gurus: when these little biatches are on radio, ie: we can't see how sexy they (maybe) are, it FAILS!!!!!!
Whatever happened to girls who could SING, Debbie Harry being one?
The present offering is lame, boring and bland. Get it gone, PLEASE! Does ANYONE actually BUY these tracks?
(alcazar: just tuned into Hallam to eat my tea, my wife having American Pap TV on AGAIN, and was bombarded with Kelly Clarkson, (is it Jeremy's girl? If so I now hate him 100% more!), someone just called "Cheryl" and Pink.)
Bland, bland, bland, boring, boring, boring and TALENTLESS!!!!!!!!

All thesxe cover versions by a little girl sounding like she is in the last stages of the ebola virus, like the John Lewis snowman ad, or the twinings as. Rubbish. Give me 'Barracuda' by Heart, any Aretha gospel or Norah Jones any day.

Carole King, Karen Carpenter, Streisand etc. I doubt we will ever see talent like that again. Ok, they all rave about Adele these days , and yes she is good, but nothing compared to those I named above.

The only one i really hate is Nicki Minaj.
Here are some of her lyrics...
'Starships were meant to fly,
Hands up and touch the sky.'
brilliant.. Some more,
'Bees in the trap,
bees bees in the trap (X4)'
Wow. More..
'I wish that i could have this moment for life,
for life,
for life,
for life.'
Just amazing.
How does she get signed with ****e like that?
For the record, you only need to hear these songs once to memorise the in-depth and meaningful lyrics..

Hmmmmmmmm you 70s people may know the surname, but I quite like this singer, yet to break out into the mainstream, but her acoustic version of "Uninvited" which she sang the dance remix of for the Freemasons.
Her own song.
Freemasons cover of Alanis Morissette "Uninvited".
Accoustic version of above.
And her mother in the 70s.
So again the talent is out there, it's just that these idiots who "pick" musicians, and signers do so for purely commercial reasns and not musical.
I mean Rick Astley was only chosen and Pete Waterman accepted a challenge that he could turn "anyone" into a pop star as he was that good!! Seems that he knew that the general populous buys crap, and are influenced by the herd!!

Dusty Springfield, Erykah Badu, Aretha (as mentioned before by me), Norah Jones, as stated above Karen Carpenter, the list goes on. None of them do (or did) the stupid cover version with a half asleep voice.

Simon Cowell is testament to that.
Didn't he make his first big money with stuff like Mr Blobby and Zig & Zag?

There USED to be girls who could sing, folk, folk rock and rock:
Sandy Denny, Celia Humphris, Liz Fraser (Cocteau Twins), Sonja Krystina, Debby Harry, Jacquie McShee, Judy Collins, Judith Durham, Grace Slick.
None of them needed double tracking, and they could do it live too.

Sharon van Adel from Within Temptation.
Check this video out..
'Somewhere' featuring Sharon den Adel from Within Temptation and the Gathering's Anneke van Giersbergen with The Metropole Orchestra and the Pa'dam Choir live at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam
There are many female singers in their genre that have fantastic voices but are generally not heard of.
