No boarding for me this year Well, nothing planned anyway.

My usual crew are off to Val d'Isère without us. Broke my collar bone in Chamoinx last time so it's probably not a bad thing

My mate did that falling over when stationary on a snow-board.
Very painful by all accounts - well it made him black out when he tried to get up.

I was almost stationary Coming to a hard stop, edge dug in and threw me forwards. I thought the cracking sound was the phone in my backpack. It wasn't. Snapped clean in half, had to pick up my board and trudge down the slope whilst my other half called an ambulance. Day one of the holiday too Still had a good time, just had the apres-ski without the skiing Codeine rocks

Tignes/Val d'Isere on the 21st December - 50cm of snow fell yesterday and it's going to snow all week apparently. Driving down and staying in a 3 bed apartment in Val Claret
I broke a rib last year also at zero mph - I basically overbalanced at the top of a slope while shifting bits and bobs around my pockets and landed on 2 mobile phones and the ski pole. I thought I had just winded myself until i fell over later in the off piste and tried to do a press up to get up... Couldn't ski for a day, but then sorted some decent pharmaceutical help and all was well - well apart from not being able to do up my left boot on my own ...

Not been since 2009 where I shagged all my ligaments in my right knee and had a year full of surgery putting it all right. Now I have a craving for it, my mate has just got a bird whos family are in the money and have a cabin out in Switzerland somewhere and we are all invited over for a week in Feb, I cant wait to screw my legs over again

Have to wait until Easter - will go where there is snow.

Whilst not a huge fan of baggy snowboard gear, I do like the kit on the right. I think that was work in snow cross events by the US team Vancouver.

I haven't boarded since 2009 :-(
Spent 10days in Banff/lake Louise, Canada in the January which was just bloody amazing. I'm a bit of a spoilt brat now and don't want to do Europe!
However, in June 09 I went to Chill Factore in Manchester and broke my wrist, totally lost my confidence. I'd only had a few lessons before Canada and that's all I've ever done. By the second week I was doing great and flying past my mum who's boarded like 10yrs, but back from Canada and I was **** scared, few runs at Manchester and caught an edge and fell back onto my wrist :-(

steve im really the most inexperienced novice - i couldnt sell you it,

but this couple i have grown up with for 20 years, they are fantastic guys, who are out to show you the time of your life, with out question.

contact the link, ask for jen or euan, there both lifetime friends, and regularly take me and my family in for hols - mention my name jeff gilmour and they will go the extra mile - (mate beleive me, im not just a name dropper - these guys will provide a service second to none, esp if you kid on your my assocaite) if your not comfortable i can contact on your behalf and lay the foundations.

but let me know, euan gardiner especially i have grown up with for 20 years, a scottish ski competitor and id consider a best friend.

any questions ask away or pm, theyll really provide you with the best possible experience mate

Skiing in France March '13. 9 stinky blokes in a ski-in/ski-out chalet, fully catered - even lunch, but i don't think we'll make it back there much for lunch Can't wait.

My mum has been snowbombing twice and really enjoyed it. Mayrhoffen is a great place too.
She's more interested in getting out on the slopes early than the après ski but she's into dance music and saw quite a few dj's. She was on a ski lift with one!
