What is it with the yanks and their sayings.

Seems that 'Feeling blessed' is the next load of cobblers they're coming out with.

I don't really mind have a nice day.

But to to great someone in the way I've described.
I was speaking to the very chap that said that to me on Friday.

His actual words 'I hope you find yourself feeling blessed today'

At this time of the year "Happy Holidays".

Yes because that's the only reason to celebrate - because we get time off! I realise that much of celebration of Christmas has moved a long way away from it's Christian roots, but it's not an excuse to just call it a "holiday".

"In back"
"Sidewalk"
"Dove" instead of dived.
"Circle" instead of roundabout.

Nothing divides two nations quite like a common language

And where do they get their square sausages from?

"Gotten", and "Out the window etc" instead of "Out OF the window".

And the mispronunciations..........

The jews? As that is why it is used in the US! They don't give a flying f**k about the Muslims if that is who you meant... not saying you did, just saying

The notion of feeling 'blessed' has been around a while, too. Since Abraham in fact. And it makes sense. Now, what exactly do you mean when you describe something as being equivalent to many repairers of shoes?

Yeah, OK.

But clearly you're not really bothered about this, so why even post in the first place

Au contraire, Urban, I'm just highlighting how absurd your opening post is.

Sure, if those are the words you wish to use. Take this post which I'm going troll about:

You don't seem to realise that these 'sayings' are synonymous. They're virtually the same sentiment only cast in a different way.
