Default Dell returns

Any experience?

Decided I wanted cancel a delivered order on the 6th day after recieving order, filled in their online return form and.............nothing

Rang them on the 7th day to be handed about between operators , some musaz, some advertising while I waited, after a time I gave up


As far as I can see they could claim iv never contacted them

Credit or debit card purchase?

Reverse the transaction and then wait for them to pick it up (if ever)!

Reverse transaction.

It's come off card a while back AFAIK

Claim back, or whatever, they will soon get round to collecting it (or not), You've told them you want to return it, saves waiting for a refund and might gee them up or you might get a free pooter!

They said they usually get back to within a day, it's been 2 now

After actually calling them, iv little confidence I must say - I think they. Reckon they've got me

Wouldn't consider using them Again, not that thye give a stuff

Email them as well so there is a dated written record of your intention to return the goods.

That's just it man, they give you a form to fill in which they describe as emailing them

But this gives you night record of when you've sent it, whether they've got it or anything else

Basically it's impossible, you can't email them

All you can do is talk to someone in india

Every IT admin I've ever known always advised against buying from Dell, unless you've got a company support contract. I'm guessing this must be why.

I got an email back! , looks like I'm okay, apologies we're a big company thousands emails to go through etc etc.

IV only ever bought 2 computers, discounting PlayBook anyway,dell desktop 1999? And this i5 inspiron laptop

Withstanding the fact it looks like I can get i7 and bettered graphics for l less 100 extra,I'm wondering now why I'm not getting another desktop (that I can update later) or, god forbid,a mac mini. - for a new operating experience

Also this i5 inspiron is total plastic, the z series have a bit more metal in them

Yep the worst company I have ever dealt with. Took them over a month to get a laptop cancelled and refunded, and this was one that was cancelled and not delivered so they kept my money all that time when i'd never even received the damn thing. An utter shambles of a company. Good luck in trying to get your money back any time soon.
