This on wireless or LAN?
The BT Wireless is ****.
If on LAN:
Reboot everything (home hub & modem)
Check to see is the modem (small white box) is hot. It was a known issue on the early ones that they overheat & drop down to Safe Mode
Some of the early ones

Check the White Openreach modem....if it has a black power cord it is one of the older ones and should have been replaced as some of them can overheat and give up....new type has a white power cord so is easy to spot if you have one!!
Also better to use a LAN cable as stated as wireless isnt as good!!

Cheers RB5 and BLK
It does have a black power lead, its strange really that it would be one of the old ones as we only had BT infinity installed a few months ago.
I rebooted everything and did a hard reset and it seems to be ok now.

Yeah after having Infinty 1 and then upgrading to Infinty 2, was phoned up by a 3rd party company who arranged for an engineer to come to your house and replace the original MODEM with the new one, as it was BT who arranged the swap out.
Did get the odd dropout of Broadband with the original MODEM too the wireless on the HomeHub 3 is okay as its a wireless 'N' not really had too many issues with it as I have a few devices that use Wireless. But as for gaming, I have my consoles wired via the LAN ports.
Also as I found out the other day from research, the best settings for XBOX is to set the xbox to 'automatic' for the Wired settings and on the Homehub to set the DHCP IP address to 'always Use' against the XBOX connection so that You can always get an 'OPEN NAT', as without an open NAT you will get issues with gameplay on XBOX Live, and in some cases loss of connection.
Just to add I noticed thet my Homehub firmware had been upgraded as of 20/11/2012. Maybe its a firmware fix thats needed as well to sort out your situation, which BT automatically do to your Homehub even if your using it
