Cool FREE Money!!!!!

Bank of Scotland machine gives out extra cash in Rutherglen!!

Dozens of people have been queuing to withdraw money after a bank machine began dispensing extra cash.

Strathclyde Police said they were alerted to the incident at the Bank of Scotland, on Stonelaw Road in Rutherglen, around Saturday lunchtime.

Officers went to the scene and alerted the bank, who were able to switch off the machine remotely.

The queue - round the block!!

If there was a way of knowing who had what, would they have to pay it back?

Why can't this happen in my closest town?

Also, more importantly, if it was giving out extra cash, wouldn't you keep withdrawing more money out and NOT tell anyone!

"Oh look, this cash machine is giving out extra cash! Look everybody, come and have a go and then get it turned off within 30 minutes due to the whole county hearing about it!"

The Bank of Scotland said the branch would "contact any customers who have been affected".

Been affected by asking for £50 and getting £500 .... yeah, right!

How long is it before the machine 'sucks' your money back in?

Has anyone tried withdrawing money by entering your number backwards? Rumour has it that doing it backwards lets you withdraw BUT tells the police your under destress.

That's true ........ the Bank, if open, will come straight out to you.

Failing that, the Cash machine location is sent to the Police ..... then the machine delays the payout slightly to give some time.

Has any-one actually tried this, putting your number in backwards, how would the machine know....and what if your number is 2222 or 7777. Might just go and try it and see what happens. I expect the following message........................."Incorrect Pin, please re-try".

Sounds like someone in India again that has screwed up the banks systems again perhaps?
Oh wait that was down to a change manager in Edinburgh was it? Yeah right! Thats what happens when you outsource your IT staff to foreign parts.

On the plus side at least we get free cash from their mistakes

Hilarious, does anyone really think that the Rozzers would come to your aid even if the reverse PIN thing did work too busy eating doughnuts or catching criminals with speed guns.
