She deserved it,as the saying goes you play with fire you get burn.If it is right or wrong is another issue, had she done what the driver said and got off the bus the situation would of diffused itself but they where both up for a fight.that's the world we live in I'm afraid to say.

What sort of name is Shidea?
It appears the girl attacked and spat on the driver first

New information has been released, identifying the bus driver as Artis Hughes and the female passenger as Shidea N. Lane. According to the police report, obtained by Cleveland.com, Lane allegedly got on the bus driven by Hughes without paying, claiming she forgot her backpack. She proceeded to ask "Are you putting me off the bus?" and "Is this how you treat people in Cleveland?" Lane eventually paid and called Hughes a "bitch." The two got into a verbal argument, according to the police report, and Lane reportedly proceeded to grab Hughes' throat, spit in his face and strike him with her fist.

whoa! That was some punch! I'm amazed it didn't knock her out. I see from the story that she attacked him first but I guess I'm still a bit "old skool" and see it as wrong to hit a girl/woman, especially with such ferocity. Fair enough to restrain her but a full on upper cut!?
On a side note, how is it that some black people can use the "n" word so profusely with each other and yet it's so unacceptable if someone of another race uses it

In all honesty I don't condone his actions, but if a person regardless of what sex they are where to grab a person by the throat and spat at them in there face then punched them in the face,I doubt anyone would just sit there and say,oh it's alright it's only a woman.

Why is it women think that they can act this way to try and provoke a reaction. Then, when it comes along and bites them in the ***, or this case chin, they get all 'you can't hit a female'? As far as I can see she deserved something, being forceably removed from the bus seems the most sensible option ......

So, a woman is shouting her mouth off, and the bus drivers solves the problem by brutally punching her on her face with full force and dragging her about. And some of you guys find it funny and right?? Nice.
By the way, It won't be right for a woman driver to do that to a dysfunctional male passanger either.
If she started off hitting and spat on the driver, he could have used force by putting her outside the bus with the help of his chornie who was loiting about with an organge jacket on. He was on a public duty; surrounded by many people. He would have automatically gained public sympathy, and public would have tried their best to keep the woman away from him. No need to punch her back, as it brings him back to her level. Mind you, his lingo and his thought process clearly denotes that he is as common as her.
Whoever are getting a buzz of this video are cowards.
Would you like that if your off-her-head sister of that girl's age or your dementia affected mother gets punched for spouting sh!te and spitting by a fully grown, physically stronger man?? If you say yes, shame on you. Anyway, carry on thinking the way you do.
Yes, some women can be very violent. But you don't sort it out with violence in return unless you are protecting your physical self. regarding this incident on the video, this bus driver was more about protecting his ego than his body. She physicaly hurt him, but he didn't get seriously damaged, did he? He could have held his horses and shown professionalism, put her outside the bus, and called the cops on her. But no. He had to be a man. "You wanna be a man?? I'll treat you like a man!" How cowardly, unmanly and pathetic.

I don't agree with the punch back on that woman; upper cut or lower cut- I don't care.
Whoever is saying "b!tch got what he deserved" etc. are not even half a man. They can agree with it as much as they like.
