my car will be running sweet as a nut all day, then sometimes the rev counter will drop and the car will try to cut out! it cut out once yesterday but it hasnt done it for ages.
anyone help?

Hi - me again!
Check the air flow regulator. On the 2.0 dohc it was located just behind the grill area - on the air intake pipe.
Mine was loose and leaking slightly, the effect was to have the revs hunting up and down. Took the unit off (it's not servicable), put some gasket goo on the faces, replaced the unit and the prob was solved. Worth a try.

hi phd (again ) not sure if its got one of those intake thingy behind the grill, ill take a piccy of the engine today and see if its the same as yours.
