I drove past Friday night on the way to the New Forest and there were some very flash cars on the A27. I helped out a German lady who was on her own and lost, she pulled into McDonalds car park in Chichester in the coolest looking classic Mercedes and came over and asked for directions so put it in the satnav and showed her. Told her what a fantastic car she had and she said yes it might be nice but doesn't help her get to where she wants to go Think she might need a satnav installed in it.

I can't find pictures of it on Google, it looked like a 60's/70's version of an slr500 so hope I haven't passed up a photo opportunity of a very rare Merc. She was all done up in 60's dress. I had an E type Jag blast by which I put my window down to listen to when I saw those headlights coming up rapidly behind me. I'd love to go but the hassle of the traffic to get in would drive me up the wall.

Normally work on a stand there most years
This year i had some other commitments for this weekend,
Luckily im within spitting distance, so still get to see loads of stunning cars & planes flying in and out
Funny though, no midweek rehearsals of the Spitfire & Mustang this year, used to be quite a mid afternoon spectacle to stand on one of the balconys and watch them

is that all your doing ok then!!! fri and sat they were over 7 mile or more been a bloody nightmare round here.
i went up fri and sat for a few hrs each time but got in there for around 6 am so not bad, saw what i wanted and left nice and early.
i'm lucky as daughter is a manager for goodwood so she runs the aero cafe which dueing shows is only open to members so i got somwhere to go and sit down for a cuppa she also runs the rolex drivers tent so get to sneak in there for a nose about.
i have also been going up there most of the last week (when i can sneak away from work) and watched a fair bit of the practise.
i'm sure you will have a very good day out mate its one of the must do shows even if its only once in your life.
and even if you not into planes they are still worth look especialy now they got the spitfire acadamy up there the sound of them is truly amazing.

I was there on Saturday,we had tickets for the Woodcote stand as usual.
Thoroughly enjoyed the racing which was very clean with no silly accidents.
We were pretty impressed by Adrian Newey who drove a GT 40. He was driving fast and smoothly and overtook some others in the race. Interesting to see the star F1 designer get into a racing car and put on a good show.
The whole day was very well organised as ever, and we also enjoyed the air displays which were well flown.
Always a good day and I look forward to going each year. Very much better than the Festival of Speed in my opinion.

I was there on Sunday, one of the best days out i've ever had. The 250 GTO is for me, like many people, the "ultimate", and to be able to get up close and personal to fifteen of them in the paddocks, then see a dozen do a parade lap, then three compete in the RAC Challenge against Aston DB4GTs and Jaguar E Type Lightweights, was something i'll never forget.
Fortunately we arrived early so didn't suffer any queues or jams. It was fun to dress 40s stylee and to see all the girlies looking very glam. The cars, the aircraft, the people, the racing, the atmosphere - a fabulous day.
