Bad luck...
We moved into our house in Oct, had the entire house carpeted in Dec and then got my fish tank (330litres) in Feb.
From Feb untill last month I had no end of fish dying dispite the water parameters being 100%. Turned out the volcanic stones I had was poisoning the fish and now finally after throwing out £60 of stones and changing to sand the tank is thriving (babies plants blooming etc).
A few weeks back we went to carpet right to say that the carpets all over (not just the edges) are comming up. Little threads are comming up dispite it being dog friendly, anti bleach - best of the best jobbie.
We expected it for the first 8 weeks but 8months on, something isn't right.
We had the carpet fitter come out and say ' it's not a fitting fault'
We then had a man from the manufacture come out and look at the carpet with his face on the floor and said I can't say there is a design fault but there is.
We are now waiting for the manufacture to contact carpet right to see what the out come will be.
Do you think -
A:they will say keep the carpet - as they can't sell it on but refund us 100%
B: Keep the carpet & half refund
C: carpet up and replaced.
I'm expecting C but the tank empty takes 2 people to lift. Then there's 30kilo's of sand and the entire set up will need taking apart.
If they are going to to go down the C route can I push for them to hire professional fish people to tackle the tank correctly. I don't mind doing it but if I can get it done for free then I'd rather that. - insurance etc
What do you think they will do?
