A file sharer has had a court judgement upheld and means he has to pay £426,000 in damages for 31 songs. Me thinks someone will be declaring themselves bankrupt

That is actually how it works Steve, courts use punitive damages in the US to effectively send a message. In reality he owes zero money to anyone now, even legitimate lending he may have had.

They did him for 31 with a potential for $150,000 for each song so I guess he got off lightly LOL

He admitted to downloading and distributing more than 800........which is why they chased him.
