Default WO 02 LET

I want to buy the plate WO 02 LET. DVLA say it's sold but when I go on Askmid or confused.com it says not known.
dvla do the usual spill of they can't pass any information on but I want the plate. Someone here must know someone somewhere who can get hook me up.

I'm prepared to pay £600 for it.

Also, on the DVLA website it says a private plate has to go on a car within 12months. Is this true or doyou just pay a yearly fee.

It doesen't appear to be on a vehicle presently according to the sources you mention and some of the motor factors that allow you to identify cars by their VRM.

Why not write to the DVLA, asking them to pass a letter to the person who owns the plate with your offer to buy it. Will only cost you a couple of stamps, and you may get the outcome you want. If not it wont have cost you much.

Change your name to match your current vehicle's registration number. Much cheaper.

the company will have bought it cheap from DVLA to then sell on at a profit. Nothing unusual. One thing to check is that it is a decent company and not an internet scam.

I prefer personal plates with less characters as they are then more obviously personal. But its worth a try, you dont get if you dont ask!

Retention is paid for on 1,2, or 3 yearly basis. Plates cannot be removed from cars unless they have an MOT. Some plates can't be transferred at all

Near me is THE chavviest numberplate i have ever seen, and i've seen a few contenders. On a lovely Maserati of all things, he's completely buggered it up by attaching;

K3 VTN

With the 3 straightened to resemble an E, and the crossbar of the T shortened to within an inch of its life. Utterly awful. If you can't afford a numberplate that reads something without getting a "mate" to alter it, don't bother. Simply don't bother.

You have to pay £25 retention fee a year NOT to put it on a car.

Salsa, think I owe you a finders fee....

Reason why I ask if you have to pay if you don't use it is incase I get it now and don't find the car to put it on... I don't want to miss buying the plate later in the years...
