Remake of the day of the triffids on Syfy HD now!

I vaguely remember a little bit of the original but I was very young.

This the remake with joley Richardson and Eddie izzard? If so it is not too bad.
I also remember the bbc original, very good indeed. You can get it on DVD

Another good bbc show from that era is The Tripods. Shame they never made the third series.

Triffids? I think that's what's all over my lawn here......
The damned things grow from a couple of cm across to HUGE in about a week.
