Reacher stood SIX foot five, not FIVE foot five. The scene with the dwarf facing off ten men: just silly.

Also, Reacher doesn't drive, he takes buses everywhere, or walks.

They really couldnt have picked anyone further from the story line in the books.

I'd have prefered it if the baddies had been played by kids so at least the height proportions would have been slightly more true to form.

I can't imagine why Lee Child accepted Tom Cruise as Reacher.........unless a LOT of money changed hands.

As stated above, Cruise is about as far from Reacher as you could get.

Love Jack Reacher books and not really happy with the casting of Tom Cruise.

Although I'll still go and see it as I'm interested to see the transition from book to movie.

I always pictured Reacher as an American Dolph Lundgren. Tom Cruise must be very confident in his own acting skills to think he can win over Reacher fans.

I'll reserve judgement till I've seen it, I didn't take Bruce Willis as a serious actor, but sixth sense changed my view completely. There is however the physical shortcomings, lets hope that doesn't spoil the film.

Films from books are never a sgood in my opinion, take the green mile for one.

I will see it at some point (unlikely at the cinema as I tend not to go these days) but as I enjoy the books so much it would be a shame not to give it a go.

Will download it later tonight and have a read.

On the note of the movie, I've seen the trailer and still not impressed!!

No chance it'll flop with "big Tom" in it. Totally agree on the casting but look at collateral, good film.

I'll be watching it because teacher is a great character....just ordered the new book off amazon

The Green Mile not a great movie? One of the highest rated movies on imdb and most movie websites, I've also can't think of a person I've ever spoken to who's seen it, who hasn't liked it.
