Thumbs up Dawn Chorus

Our little Spaniel decided she wanted a pee at around 4 o'clock this morning so I came downstairs and let her out. Made a cup of tea and went out into the garden, sat on the bench and waited for her. Dawn was breaking as they say and the dawn chorus kicked in at around 4.15.

And it was a fantastic sound which I hadn't listened to for some time. Really makes you feel good.

So if you happen to wake up at around this ungodly hour I urge you to open the window or wander outside in the unlikely event that it's not raining.

Was at Center Parcs last week in Cumbria and was lying awake around that time.

Really was a fantastic noise - especially so with all the different birds that were hanging around in the huge back 'garden' of our lodge.

I onced camped out in mid-April in the Charente region of France.

Apart from the fact that night-time temperatures dropped to 4 degrees, the birdsong was truly amazing.
AND we lay awake one night listening to a Nightingale in the bush next to our tent...........and those things are LOUD!!!!

I love birdsong, I find it very calming, I have 5 CDs of it.

Dawn chorus is fantastic........... not so much in the summer time when it's that hot outside you need to leave the windows open at night for a breeze and the little cute Blackbirds land on my neighbours roof and let rip just before 3:30 AM.

Aww bless
