...And when the doctors did his blood tests they found that he had a very unusual blood group. In fact, the only other person with this blood group was Ian Paisley - who had donated blood a couple of days previously.

During the operation the priest required a blood transufsion. When he was back in the ward recovering the surgeon came to update him on how the op had gone.

"Well Father, the operation was very successful. You needed quite a lot of blood though and you've got a very rare bllood group. In fact the only other person we know of with this group is Ian Paisley so we've given you some of his blood".

"I see. WIll this affect my religious views at all?"

"I don't know. I'm only qualified to answer on medical matters. I think you'd need to ask a higher authourity - like the Pope for example".

"F**K THE POPE! I'm asking you!"
