Made in England - Manufacturing
Does anyone have info on how much work needs to be undertaken on a product to still be able to class it as "Made in England"?
I've got a ball ache of a project to work on, and some of the components and labour is being done abroad.
Is there a percentage of work or percentage of value of goods that has to be undertaken in the UK to allow the branding?
I'm waiting on a reply from Trading Standards but I'm pretty sure some of the SN massive will have the answer.

I am no expert, but it would seem to me that if it is constructed from some items which were made abroad but was put together and made to work in this country, that should be good enough.

When I worked for Vauxhall they took great pride in saying the Vivaro and Astra were built in England, a high percentage of parts for these are outsourced but because they are assembled here they can say it

Hi David, I'm waiting on trading standards to come back to me but I'll speak to the chamber of commerce when I'm back in the office on Monday. Thanks for that.
