The BIG Dentistry Rip-Off ......
As if we needed the Government to tell us we were all being fleeced by Dentists!!
They don't think of the Patients Dental Health - instead, too many are thinking about their wallets health!!
We pay to train them - they should behave themselves for a few years at least and give value for money!!
Add them to the Vets Rip-Off Merchants .......

They dropped an absoulte bo**ock with the new dental contract forcing the public into the situation you describe above.

Yes, you are quite right, Labour is responsible for wanting value for money from Dentists. They make no apology for that, I'm sure.
Problem we have here is that Dentists want the Bankers high life ........ and I know a few - 3 days a week work - DenPlan Insurance Contracts and annual commissions on those ..... luvverly jubberly.
You will never, ever, see anything other than a very rich Dentist ..... the travesty is that this greed is driving people away and the result is that their health is suffering - it's a disgrace!
Give them an annual salary of £50,000 and they do what's needed ..... let's stop this £300,000 a year for 3 days work malarky!

Not me that's for sure!!
Last time I went to the dentist he said that I needed a filling in my upper canine tooth - it 'just happens' to be easy to get to as the tooth beside it is missing .......... amazingly!!
I said just leave it and we'll see how we get on - 18 months later and - guess what? NOTHING!!! Just an intact white tooth!!
Of course, under the NHS, they want to do 1 small easy filling to get £42 off you - instead of the check-up free of around £17!!
I'm ahead of the game ... and they don't like it - it's a damned con!

Why don't you do what I do?
I clean my teeth, I don't eat/drink ****, I don't regularly visit the dentist and I have never lost a tooth, nor had a filling in the last thirty years.
My children do the same and have never had a filling. Simples as they say.
Seems to me you are a victim of your own short-comings and want to blame someone else, because let's face it, in this country, everything is always someone else's fault.
Some type of socialist delusion perhaps? Sorry, I meant Utopia
Anyways, with only ten teeth left, sounds like a case of "I fought the law....and the law won".
I feel I can hear the organs playing Jerusalem as I type this.
Keep it up mate - stay ahead of the game!

In the old days Dentists were paid to 'Drill& Fill' ..... and it was in those dark days that I sacrificed my teeth so a Dentist could have a foreign holiday - it's hi time that this greed was curtailed.
My daughter has never had a filling - on my advice - has no trouble and has her own teeth .......
Fillings are the death nell for teeth ..... it's a greed disaster which has been going on for ages.

Pete has a point but didn't make it very well, some dentists seem to have decided to really hammer it, mine really took the ****, turning up late and rushing, getting stuff wrong and was bit of a ****, I went nhs, it is a bit pikey the place I go but it doesn't cost me the best part of a grand to not sort out a tooth.

I once pulled one of my own teeth out with a pair of pliers.
I did charge myself £500 for the work though, but i gave myself a lollipop for the tears.

They didn't even ask for a payrise and -
They now no longer have to provide emergency out of hours services.
You couldn't make it up
I just hope the Doctors remember to show their gratitude at the electoral box.
