TBh, the media can and do, make anything look like anything else. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could chuck the lot of them.
It's not that long since we were being bombareded with stuff abbout South Africa being the murder capital of the world and there being loads of black on white racism, violence etc etc so don't go to the World cup.
Was there any problem? Because I didn't see any.
And now we have the usual knee jerk reaction from the anti-racist do-gooders in the UK: England should withdraw!
Right! And I can already see FIFA and EUFA lining up to mete out our punishment: no international competition for five years, no clubs in Europe for five years etc. GREAT idea!
I wonder how many other country's media have made documentaries about England for the Olympics, based on one-sided reporting of, say, the riots last summer?

Funny how no other sport seems to engender the thuggery that soccer does. Must be something to do with the calibre of people who are attracted to watch it. There is no other explanation reallly.

I remember the south Africa stories going about all the prostitution and you'll get aids by just going there blah blah .
And for all the football fans are idiot remarks , don't hate because you was the fat kid that got picked last.

Youd need to be a slightly less inteligent footy fan than average to think that
There certainly were plenty of legitimate people waiting to take their money....hookers came from all over africa (and everywhere else)
The dangerous aspect is always played up in the media , but they were in no more danger than any other pom over there at the time

Now go to a football match and the fans have to be segregated as if they aren't they fight like animals.
The difference? IQ!

So true not just f1.look at cricket even bitter rivals like India/pak fans get on at the match, even though they hate each other! Football attracts too many hooligans.

come off it cricket is hardly a passionate game.... yawn fest
tell me the last time football hooliganism was reported in the uk, you lot are living in the 80's when it was rife.

You obviously know little about cricket or sporting rivalry's then!!
One of the most uninteresting and dull sports is football. Why else would it need all of this phony tribalism and laughable 'passion' injected into it!

are they or are they not at the f1? simple yes or no will suffice.
It's like saying these football fans with base ball bats they went to silverstone once so you must be wrong
like i said earlier which people have looked over find me a recent story where there's been crowd trouble on a massive scale in the top flight in the uk in the last 10 years?

and as for football is the dull sports you're entitled to your opinion and i respect that but you're wrong.
The final game of the premiership proved you wrong also the champions league final.
