No good just giving up, just stick with it in case we come up with a decent entry some time!

We don't need to enter this farcical competition. The UK has long been a leading world force in wrting, producing and performing many kinds of popular music, yet we still submit our entry every year and wonder why we do so badly. The leading musical lights of Europe have made quite a strong statement over the past few years that they don't appreciate our tastes, regardless of how we present our song entry.
A lot has been made of the age of the 'Hump' and the apparently lacklustre performance he gave (according to some). If it was really a 'Song' contest, wouldn't it be conducted more along the lines of TV's The Voice? Who cares about the age, the clothes, the dance style of the performaer if it is really a song contest? Besides, a bunch of elderly Russian peasants came second

Give it up as a bad job and utter waste of time and TV space.

It is a joke in some respect as neighbouring countries just vote for each other, but.... the UK song is usually rubbish and last night IMO it was too. The best song on the night did win though.

We don't do euro pop very well in this country so it's not really a surprise.

That said we used to produce individual creative sounds..I don't think we do that any more either

I suppose our big stars like Adele and Leona wouldn't touch it as to come way down the list wouldn't look good?

So either a newbe or a has been. Cliff next year (Bruce Forsyth??)

All the entries are sung in English anyway so it's a win for England all round! Gone are the days when the songs were sung in their native language.
