Only a few as Im still sorting through over 700 snaps. Firstly for the CounterStrike faithful this is a must if you go over to the states - the shooting range
Walk into shop and say we want to do some shooting - guy hands us sub machine guns:
1. Heckler and Koch Mp5 9mm (very accurate can see why the SAS, SWAT etc use em)
3. Glock 19 - compact version of the 17 and a lot nicer/easier to fire
4. Magnum .44
Not sure on make but small grip and no fancy internal to redirect the gases makes this kick like a mule.
See what I mean
5. Uzi 9mm. Maybe old but still a great little gun
6. Taurus .454 Magnum - one of the most powerful handguns you can fire but suprisingly gentle due to gas flow vents above the barrel
Check out the muzzle flash Here
7. Mossberg Compact Pump Action - damn this thing had recoil
Also fired the H&K UMP .45 SMG and various other 9mm & .45 ACP pistols. If anyone is off to Florida (Orlando/Kissimee area) then let me know and Ill tell you where to go.
Now if after all that shooting you feel like a nice cold bud then where better than Hooters where the pitchers of bud are dirt cheap, served in frozen pint glasses and by some lovely ladies. Warning that the food is pap so eat before you go:

You know your luck is in when the girl serving you informs you that next week they are holding a Hooters Staff Bikini Contest sponsored by Budweiser. Seeing as we had nowt else to do that night we went for a peek:

We managed to win the t-shirt of one lovely girl and got to meet her back stage
http://www.freshprince.co.uk/katie.jpg
And whilst we were there we got a picture with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners

And one of the girl who served us the first week

I was impressed with the Glock 17, handles well although a few people i spoke to suggested a problem with jamming???
Still prefer the Beretta 92SF, no messing about and seems to work no matter what the enviroment.
Had a go with an Ak 47 Whilst in the states, modded to fuly auto, difficult to keep the bursts down to two/three rounds but built like a brick ****house.
Ther is a version of the MP5 which uses a larger caliber round which is supposed to be the bollox, supersoinic for a start, cannot remember the fps of the round mind . Apparently the trigger mechanism in the MP5 can be chqanged to allow fully auto which is nice!
In some way it is a shame that the gun
control laws are so sa=trict in the UK, daft really as criminal/nutters can get hold of pretty much anything they want as long as they have the money, read somewhere that you can pick up an AK for around $200.00 from Russia/eastern europe

Glock isnt the most fun gun to fire but it handles well and with an internal hammer their is no chance of catching it on clothes, fingers etc. They also have been test fired in excess of 10 million rounds without failure IIRC hence why most special forces etc now use them. They also offer a wider range of calibres.
Mp5 was great and more usable than the UMP. Even at 9mm there is no way you can accurate on full auto - 2-3 shot s burst and the muzzle is already jumping. Uzi showed its age but still great considering. Desert Eagle was very accurate but a bit to big and hard to **** etc. They also had a Colt Commando but we coulnt fire it as it was only a small indoor range.
Whilst there a guy came in with a sig pistol in .45 acp calibre and proceeded to group over 4 clips of shots in the same area as fast as he could pull the trigger - we later found out he was a bail bondsman.

Yep, UZI like the SMG is really a point and squirt weapon, great for 'house clearance' and such but difficult to control being so compact, really jumps around. Short, controlled busrts of fire/double tapping are not too easy/impossible although this is not what they where designed for
Had an interesting experience with a GPMG once, the gas recoil had been set/knocked badly and the weapon just kept firing as the firing mech would not quite engage with the reciever, got through 200 rounds pretty quickly
Bro' in law is part of an armed response unit his main weapon is the MP5 and he really rates it, his side arm is a Smith and Weston .38 (i think) cannot remember the model mind
Looks like you had a fun holiday

Paul what you had with the GPMG was know as runaway gun, apart from the seers not engaging properly it can also be caused by cook offs where the rounds just explode as they enter the breach usually caused by not changing the barrel in SF mode mainly, easiest way to stop it is to get your number 2 to snap of the belt then it runs out of ammo.

Wurzel - AFAIK the MP5 has only ever officially fire 9mm rounds apart from the MP5/10 which was created to fire the 10mm auto rounds the yanks like so much. It is after all an SMG, which by its nature is always of small calibre.

It was called the Shooting Gallery and was the range shop belonging to Universal Weapons, Orlando. Just off John Young Pkwy, 39th St (Junction 32 I4 east). First day we spent $280 between us and $340 on the second visit Is pretty cheap if you just shoot pistols - $5 for the range, $5 pistol rental, $1 per target & $8 per 50 rounds of 9mm ammo. The SMGs and high calibre rounds (.454 Casulls were a dollar each) whack the price up quite a bit.

If anyone goes out to Orlando make sure you visit the Sky Venture skydiving simulator off International Drive (Opposite Wet n Wild) as it is amazing fun and half price if you do a return visit (the same company owns & runs the SkyCoaster off the 192 which makes the bungee rocket look like a piece of ****).

AFAIK the H&K MP5 comes in 9mm and 5.56mm the same as the M16 and SA80. Atleast they did when I was in the Army. The colt .45 is a mean weapon as well so is the sig 229 for that matter. Didn't like the glock 17 seemed to light and plasticy.
