A worker was, today, asked to burn off the heads of over 100 bolts.
He informed the gaffer that he would do so, but would need a special breathing mask, since the bolts were galvanised.
"Those aren't galvanised," says the gaffer, "those are zinc plated!"
And the same gaffer had never even heard of metal fume fever.

Well, yes and no: Yes it's not funny, no it WASN'T a joke. The "gaffer" ie: in charge of the job, had no idea that galvanised and zinc plated were the same thing. And no idea that burning "either" would cause metal fume fever. Trust me, that's NOT something you want
