Odd question this one, but if the nectar card machine in a petrol station prints something out after your card is scanned, is the print out for you, the customer, or does it sometimes print information out for the retailer?

I didn't think about it at the time, but last week a machine churned out a ticket but the person behind the counter never handed it over, and I never asked for it. Then some time later I thought there are a lot of offers such as extra points, prize draws and free petrol for a year available and I just wondered if they have kept something for themselves rather than hand it over?

 

isn't it something like 10,000 nectar points is 50p?

 

Not as bad as that, I have around 1000 points which equates to a fiver.

 

yes usually when it prints something out its like next time you purchase £20 of fuel you get an extra 200 points or something.

when I was lorry driving and before the bosses caught on we would fill up at one petrol station near us every day with at least £200 of fuel, and get the nectar points didnt last long though just a year or so
