Default Painting Interior Trim

Not for the Impreza, but can you get some form of primer, colour (silver) and a strong lacquer which will work well on an interior door handle?

What would be the best way to prepare the surface? Some form of we & dry?

Any advice would be great

Cheers

What is the handle made of? assuming it is plastic then you need to key the surface with a scotch pad or fine wet and dry, use proper plastic primer then paint then lacquer. plenty of layers of lacquer as it will wear if the handle is in frequent use (drivers?).

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes the door handles are some form of plastic. The car is a Volvo S40, and the drivers handle is really scuffed.

Is there any better makes than others to use? Is Halfords stuff good, or even stuff from B&Q or should I order online from a specialist shop?

Thanks a lot

The paints and primers are pretty much of a muchness. The important thing is to prep it right and allow the correct waiting times between primer, paint and lacquer coats then let it dry thoroughly before refitting.
