Shell!
Filled up with V-Power on the way up to Darlington, Shell garage on the A1 northbound, just shorrt of Darlington.
Until then the car had been running well on Tesco Momentum.
As SOON as the Shell went in, every time I hit more than 1 bar boost, the KnockLink lit uip like a Christmas tree
Must be a bad batch......or, since they were working on some of the pumps, I've paid for 99 octane and got 95

To be frank, the risk would be reduced if the car was mapped with more aggresive knock correction.
Still, it'd be interesting to see it tested and see Shell's response when challenged.
The problem is as far as British standards are concerned, the indicated fuel only needs to be 97RON to fulfill their part of the weights and measure act....If its below 97Ron, the government will do the prosecuting for you.
If its above 97Ron, I doubt you'd get very far without spending alot of money on lawers. Obviously the law with trades description still applies, but its nowhere near as strict and you'd have to persue Shell personally.
