I could have died!
I didn't wash up lastnight and decided to do it before work this morning.
I have the water so hot I can barely take it and while cleaning a pint glass it broke in my hand as I was twisting the sponge the glass dug into my hand and I thought I was a gonner... Just thinking back about it sliding n ripping into my hand.
I've has this happen years ago but after 10mins under cold water the blood was pulsating so bad I knew I needed the hospital.
I get there at 6:05 with a blood soaked tea towel and fortunately they were quite. 3hrs later and 3 stitches in my hand. 1hour later and I'm back at work.
Just need to work out how to shower for the next 10days without getting my hand wet.
I'll upload the pics later.
While the doctor was doing the stitches I asked for a sticker.. Not because I'm brave but to rub it in with the little girl outside with her belly ache. The doctor laughed
Not to myself: BUY A DISHWASHER

My mate was in a pub and they brough a glas straight out of the dishwasher and poured a pint into it, as he picked up the glass it shattered and cut all the tendons in his right hand. That was 6 years ago and he STILL can`t use it properly.
I don`t know why they can`t make pint glasses out of safety glass esp with the risk of being used as a deadly weapon in a pub.

I always thought that Faye episode was total bollox. How can "the" wife (or a girlfriend, even) let him lose to take another girl to the Maccys? No chance! If he did, he'd be destined to be dumped by "the" wife (or a girlfriend, even). I understand that's if she found out, like. And if the second choice came to know about the one in the house, she'd also kick his butt, and dump him. Dangerous game; not to be played
Anyway, hope your hand gets better, Robster. I once fainted embarrassingly when I saw my mummy getting stitches on her thumb. You have been brave, and you do deserve a sticker.

Just because I'm helpful, unlike this lot .....
To stop your hand getting wet in the shower, get a food bag bg enough to cover your hand and put it over your hand and tape it so water can't get in. I used masking tape as it was all that I had, but it worked as I still tried to keep my hand away from the water as much as possible.

To stop your hand getting wet in the shower, get a food bag bg enough to cover your hand and put it over your hand and tape it so water can't get in. I used masking tape as it was all that I had, but it worked as I still tried to keep my hand away from the water as much as possible.

My lad has just had six weeks in a wrist cast and was told not to get it wet. I bought him a jumbo sized roll of clingfilm. He wrapped his arm and hand and showered as normal.
The stink from inside the cast when they took it off was gut-wrenching
