Hayfever question
I suffer from it every summer and ive been told by a couple of work mates that I should start taking the Hayfever tablets now so it's in my system. Is this true and a good idea. I'd love to nip it in the bud so I can enjoy this summer.

Last year i started my hayfever tablets few weeks before my symptoms kick in and i barely suffered so im planning on doing same again this year.
I take 1 tablet a day 2 if i think im gonna suffer and also a nasal spray for very high days and i seem to be ok now.
Also buy from this website as they are dirt cheap for non branded ones, brought 300 tablets (not all for me) and a nasal spray for £12 odd last week from here.

Yep, take them about a month in advance, i've done this for the last 20 years, **** no's what all the tablets are doing to me
I asked my doctor for the injection, as my brother has it every year and has no symptoms whatsoever, but my doc won't give it to me as it's a steroid and apparently it won't mix with my medical history?
I've also found that whatever i take 1 year doesnt work the next year, so i try and get different tabs from one year to the next.
I tend to book an appointment at the doc about now, and say "right doc, what have you got that's new for this year"
usually end up with the same stuff and still end up suffering, it's a fecking nightmare

Ginger is a natural antihistamine, combined with garlic and green chillies in a curry you can ease the symptoms. Local honey is indeed proven to help too, maybe on toast every morning.

I end up with one of those 1-a-day tablets (£4-odd from the supermarket).
2 packs sees me through the Summer (2 x 28 packs)
I used to get it so bad that Summers put me in hospital in oxygen tents....
Grown out of most of it, but some days are worse than others.
I also find changing the brand/make tablet works too, so you don't get the same one in your body all the time......

Eating anything eases the symptoms. As does drinking anything, staying cool, and (yes) sex. I seriously doubt that there is anything special about ginger: there's quite enough quackery already in hayfever "cures".
Personally I swear by Beconaise, or the generic equivalent (beclamethasone), as recommended by a doctor. That does need to be started before the season, but it's a steroid. I couldn't get a prescription for sex...

Benadryl Plus intake is effective for me when I direly need something for my hayfever and allergic rhinitis. There are other 1-a-day antihistamine tablets (this includes Benadryl Allergy relief potion). One can stop taking them when the season for one is over. See your doctor and ask for a remedy. I asked my doctor, and he repeatedly gave me some fruity syrup that just didn't agree with me. It was a pharmacist in Cotswold who suggested a right combination of Benedryl Plus and Beconase nasal spray for me. I thank him for that.

Probably completely unrelated, but since I started doing exercise 3-4 times a week at the gym/swimming I don't suffer half as much as I used to. Still get the itchy throat now and again and eyes can have the odd day, but can't complain.
