Being a graphic designer in holography, we get precisely that ^^^ scenario time and time again.
Client and/or salesperson/agent invariably don't read through everything on the proposal/s!

Just had an exchange like the one above.
Client: I don't like the font you have chosen for the menu or the logo you have used.
Me: They are exactly the same as the mock-up I got from your graphic designer that was approved and signed off by you
Clinet: Yes well I don't like them any more, please change them
Me: Er.... change your company logo?
Client: Yes, I am sure you will come up with something great, just do it... the site needs to go live in a few days
Me; Shouldn't I consult your graphic designer?
Client: If you must, but he will only slow things down.

Me: Well it does exactly what it says in the spec and that was generated after several meetings with you
Client: Well I wasn't really concentrating in those meetings and I have never seen the spec.

Client: Oh was that the 20 page thing in with the order form, do you really think I have time to read things like that?

Client: I don’t like that blue, make it a bit lighter. Just a small bit!
I send the (unchanged) file back to her.
Client: Hmm, ok thats too light, make it a bit darker.
I send the same file - again, unchanged.
Client: Ok just ad a hint of brightness and we’re done!

Client: Perfect! Has anyone told you that you are amazing at what you do?
