Ah the smell of burning rubber! (or was that a film quote?). It was an eye opener going to this, it was for the locals a proper family day out, all generations there.
Our mistake was getting a cab there (20km from the city) and thinking we'd grab one on the way back, oh no. So we ended up (4 of us) trying to hitch a lift after about 6km walking a very nice coach driver stopped and took us all the way back to town,would'nt accept any money, he'd seen our artic trucks round town and loved them.

Could have done with my new camara, twin mic's and windcut tech, would have sounded even better, wish I had got it before I went.
Was limited in how much I could film as needed loads of space on the memory cards when I got over to Antarctica.
