Can be good when you have a load of them. Mate had some and they were good. Don't think they support Airplay which kind of makes them pointless for me anyhow.

Yep - got a couple of zones, Play-5 in the kitchen and a wireless receiver (ZP-90!?) attached to my home cinema set-up... Highly recommend it, really easy to set up, great support network if you've got any questions, and excellent quality

I use a few Squeezeboxes in the same way - can link them together so that they play the same thing in certain rooms, or run them as separate players.
Very good for internet radio, BBC iPlayer (listen again, etc.) and for streaming music off my SMB shares.

iPhone and iPad "remote" apps are excellent as well (http://penguinlovesmusic.de/)

Negative review.
I spent around £600 on a zone player to link to my amp, a play 3 speaker for the bedroom and a dock for my iPhone.
It was extremely easy to set up.
Having the dock meant I could play music from the phone when the PC was turned off (I was going to go down the NAS route at some point).
When it works, it's a treat, using the phone or another ipod to control your music is sweet.
However, it didn't work very well, at the weekend I would wake and tell it to play from the pc, iPhone could not find any Sonos devices (it was 2 ft away), iPod could not find any devices. I would go and get the laptop and fire up the Sonos app on that... "can not find any Sonos devices".
I would have the iPod docked and see if it could find that instead of the laptop... "can not find any Sonos devices".
I would fire up the amp and try the zoneplayer... "can not find any Sonos devices".
What I had to repeatedly do was reboot/switch off all the Sonos stuff and wait a few minutes, eventually it would come online and find itself.
I have a very robust 30Mg Virgin internet connection, strong signal.
So that's 3 Sonos devices, an iPhone, an iPod and a laptop that would refuse to talk to each other without Sonos reboots.
I sent the lot back after 2 months of getting so pissed off with it.
I now use Apple TV and some airplay stuff, works 100%

You should definitely mention Airplay in the interview, Apple's streaming is built in, simple and they have made it very easy to use, third party Airplay capable hardware is becoming common and that must hurt.
