Default Has anyone registered a LTD company online?

As above. I'm thinking of starting a LTD company, and have seen many websites advertising that they can do it for you, or you can do it yourself at the website of Companies House.

I spoke to a local accountant who told me that they use a third party formations company who would want £150 + Vat. That seems pretty steep compared to the £18 that Companies House want for doing it online. I've even seen one website which only charges £4.99 and then gives you £50 cashback if you take a business account with Barclays....

Has anyone formed a company online? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to doing it online?

Any surprises in there? Did you get to choose having a bank account which they recommend?

You have the option to apply for HSBC or Barclays. I didn't take the option.

It was very easy.

Use any of the online ones mate. The bank account thing is only an intro to the bank - not much more.

Save yourself some money

Last time I did it in 2010 I paid about £20!

I like the idea of only paying £5 and then getting £50 cash back. It's just a case of seeing if there are any catches.
